Dang I thought this was going to be a #relatable clip of someone throwing out their Stanley’s because they got lead poisoning upon first use and couldn’t morally resell them. This actually did happen to me, although with a Simply Modern version, and after being deathly ill for 5 days, barely able to keep down water, I had to chuck the $40 cup that I had only used for a single fill up.😅

I like watching the videos for shock factor but that’s on me needing to work on my cortisol levels. No one needs this much PR and no one needs this much product. I have product I use until the bottle runs dry before trying a diff brand or new product from same brand or replacing same product. I also watched a video of an influencer speaking on reaching out to brands to take her off the pr lists bc she couldn’t keep up with the waste and recycling.

I often get new clothes for momentous events but then wear them repeatedly- I've already worn my skirt from this year's prom 3 times and my shirt at least 5 times. That way you can have the thrill of a new outfit without contributing as much to a disposable society

That cup costs around 80.00 usd in this little country somewhere in Latin America. Throwing it away so casually? That would NEVER happen. It gets me thinking a lot of Americans don’t know what or how to spend their money on.

People obsessed with trends need help. You might just see a girl with so many ridiculous cups but deep down I can see a person with a desperate need for approval.

Some of these people I feel need therapy, that looks like she's starting a hoarding downward spiral or she has a shopping addiction. Any addiction requires professional help.

Ignorant social media influencers took something that has been around for decades and acted like they discovered something new. The result is that they caused the price to rise so high that it is now extremely hard for men and women who work real jobs to get the thermoses and cups they have been using for many decades to take their coffee to work with them. If you let a fake personality on social media influence you then you have the mind of a child and you need to grow up. These people should not be influencing anything.

NGL, I watch these and see maybe one or two items I might want to buy. If you filter it as what do I actually want/need and will I still be using this in a year then it gets much easier to say no.

I don't even have a proper dish set,cups,plates, silverware,etc. I've been buying $1 store plastic because I'm out of work disabled with 3 kids. Even when i have had $ I'm frugal. Growing up in a rural farming area we learned to be happy with less and life was so good! I think many ppl do this to A) fit in/avoid FOMO B) They're using the "shopping Therapy" thing a lil too much" C) She probably should find a hobby and a therapist cuz that's not normal The amount of privilege in that photo.but alas,i don't know her so I can't judge her. :/
